Well this post is well over due but I wanted to wait until I got her 1 year pictures back so here she is!
I am now the proud mother of a 1 year old. God blessed our family 1 year ago on September 7, 2010 with a beautiful baby girl. I can’t believe her first year has passed soooo fast. It has been a wonderful and exciting journey since the day she joined our family. She has grown so much over the past year and truly amazed us at how she has changed. At 1 year old she is walking like crazy, talking a lot although we have no idea what she is saying, very out spoken, loves to read and look at books, truly plays with her toys now, can express what she likes/dislikes, she waves bye bye, has developed her own little personality which conflicts with mom and dad sometimes, likes cartoons, Laughs a lot, loves music (mommy makes up a lot of songs), will dance when she hears music, drinking from a sippy cup and on whole milk, eats very well and all table food, sleeps through the night with a pillow, wears big girl pajamas without the footies, is beginning to like playing outside, words she can say (bye, hey, mommy, daddy, doggy), doesn’t really enjoy long car trips, loves the water/bath time, and thinks we are the funniest people in the world (lets hope that doesn't change for a long time).
This is such a special time for us and we are trying to take it all in as slowly as we can. I truly enjoy spending time with her and watching her grow each day. This age is so much fun because she is becoming her own little person. The things I have loved most so far about her being 1 is getting to play with her and have imagination, chase after her and let her chase me, rock her to sleep and sing to her while she snuggles with me, read books to her and have her point out the pictures, taking her to new places and watching her take in everything she sees, playing peek a boo games with her and hide n seek, hearing her laugh out loud at something, watching her play with her friends and most of all when she gets excited to see us.
The first year has been fantastic and I can't wait to see how she continues to grow!
