We have been to the doctor 2 times in a week and I have talked to a nurse on all the other days. Last Friday, I went to drop off gifts to Lynlee's teachers because she moved up to the next classroom and I wanted to give them a nice thank you for being such good teachers to her. While I was there, they were taking Lynlee's temperature and I ended up having to take her home. I took her to the doctor on Sat because she spiked a high fever through the night. She was diagnosed with the croup and she was given a steroid. Then it all began.
Sunday and Monday = crying allllll day and super irritable. For those of you who know Lynlee, she is a very happy baby and rarely cries so needless to say I called the doctor on Tuesday morning to report this.
Tuesday = Doctor took her off steroid and told us to watch her to make sure symptoms don't come back
Wednesday = Lots of snot but clear (which I finding the color of your snot tells us alot :) ) didn't sleep well at all. Called the doctor back to ask what we needed to do. report was to try zyrtec to see if that would help her sleep and dry up her nose
Thursday = lots of snot but GREEN which means infection. At this point I have decided things are obviously getting worse and talking to the nurse everyday is not working although they were very sweet and helpful so I scheduled an appointment.
Doctor visit = Double ear infection, prescription for an antibiotic, and a day off from school on Friday
Friday = Lynlee and mommy day at the house.
Praise the Lord, she is much better and back to her happy self. Hopefully this will be our last time at the doctor's office for awhile.
A good ending to a rough week......Lynlee got her FIRST TOOTH!!!!!! As soon as she lets us get a picture of it I will post it.
